Since I was little, UP has been my dream school. I don't really know why but I guess the fact that my dad went there was a big factor. Now, my dream has come true. (I know, it's cheesy.) I wasn't actually prepared when the UPCAT results came out. I was still at school when I found out that they were out. I was planning to find out at home but I didn't. I was kind of having a mental breakdown before I found out because I was had this feeling that I didn't pass. When I did find out, I was shocked. Not only did I pass UP but I passed UP Diliman. Thank you Lord!

When I got there with my dad, WOW. I mean, I was finally there. I was really going to college there. I still couldn't believe it. So, I went to my college, Arts and Letters, for the briefing. (Actually, the briefing is in the Faculty Center not CAL.) I had to go into this room (yung circular room or auditorium sa FC) filled with other freshies and the whole time I was trying to find a seat, I was walking with my head down. I was a little late because they were already entertaining questions from students and parents. Looking around, I realized that there were a lot of freshies that looked like they were from Ateneo or La Salle. "Mga mukha kasi silang sosyal." :) Was I at the right college? "Parang hindi ako bagay dito." :D
I knew beforehand that there were only 4 of us in a block but still, 4??? Nice one Art Studies.
When I found out that my blockmate was only a seat away from me, I said to myself that I will talk to her no matter what. When the briefing was done, I immediately went to her and introduced myself. And so, I now have a friend in UP ( Hi Janine!) (besides my classmates from HS and Elem. that were going there too). :)
On the way to advising, we (I was with my blockmate friend) were joined by another one of our blockmates. When we got to the room, we had to wait for the adviser. What an awkward moment that was. Absolute silence. I seriously wanted to talk to them but I didn't know what to say. So, it stayed that way until the adviser and my last blockmate came.
There were three (I don't know what they're called) in Art Studies to choose from. At first I chose Art History but then I figured if I was going to be a lawyer, I should take Interdisciplinary which is like having a minor. I did. After that, we parted ways without uttering a word.
Before I could go to the OUR for the enrollment, I'm supposed to go to the Infirmary for my Medical Certificate. That's where I spent the rest of my morning. I am not a patient person and I hate waiting. But still, I had to wait in line and go back and forth from Public Health to the Conference Room(?) because I had no idea what to do and there were no parents allowed inside. "Naabutan na ako ng lunch break hindi ko parin nakukuha Medical Certificate ko."
We ate lunch at Rodic's which is at the Shopping Center. It's been there for a long time and they say it's one of the best "kainan" at Diliman. That is absolutely true. The food is so delicious. (Hala nag-advertise na ako ng Rodic's :)) I've been there before when I was a kid and I didn't eat there because I didn't like the food. (Di pa kasi ako familiar sa mga silog na yan eh.) Apparently, it was stupid of me to think that way.
I looked around the SC and I found out that Korean ice cream was being sold there. (Hello fishy ice cream. :)) Also, there were UP things sold there. (Maka-UP pa naman ako.) Suddenly, SC just became my favorite place in the campus.
When I finally got my medical certificate, we went to the Kalayaan Residence Hall before going to the OUR because it was closer to pass my requirements for the dorm application at the OSH office so that I don't lose my slot. I can't wait to live there. (Sabi kasi nila dun mo talaga mafe-feel ang pagka freshie.)
After that, my dad showed me around UP before going to the OUR. Imagine what walking around the whole campus could do to your stamina. At least I found out that they sell red velvet cupcakes in the Bahay ng Alumni (dun sa restaurant sa Art Circle).
There are no parents allowed inside the OUR so I had to enroll myself and that's bad because I was absolutely clueless. On top of that, I ran out of 2x2 ID pics and I forgot to bring my Notice of Admission but thankfully they still accepted my papers without it and they made do with a passport ID pic because that was all I had left. I had to go to the third floor so that I can add one more subject to my schedule (because I only pre-registered 12 units online and the units needed this first semester is 15). I love my schedule. :)
Iskolar ng Bayan
The next day, I attended the Freshman Orientation Program at Bulwagang Tandang Sora. Luckily, my blockmate was only a seat away from me so that me feel a lot more relaxed. :) Basically, the FOP was for introducing UP to the freshies (kaya nga FOP eh). They made us watch this video called "Bakit UP" which was amazing. It was then that I really realized that getting in there was a privilege. With all of that....
^I've written this last summer but I never got to finish it because I was too lazy. Anyways, to cut it short, being an Iskolar ng Bayan is a privilege. There are people that can't even afford to take the UPCAT due to financial problems and almost 1/4 of all the UPCAT passers didn't confirm here because of that same reason. That is why it is a privilege and that is why I have to make the most of my college life.

PhilJess
I have these moments that I randomly get crazy over random stuff. This is one of those moments.
I just realized that Phillip and Jessica are cute together. "Bagay kasi talaga sila. Seryoso." Even with the age gap, "bagay talaga sila". It just sucks because Phil has a girlfriend. I don't know if they ever felt something for each other but it would be awesome if they did. She could be his next girlfriend. (My apologies. I am seriously a little loose in the head right now.) I'm starting to think that Jay chose Change Nothing for Phil and he sang Volcano and We've Got Tonight for her. Ah, shit. (Napapamura na ako sa kilig. Leche.) If only I could read their minds, I would know if there was something. (I know. I'm in way over my head. :)) If there is something or there isn't, they STILL look great together. Hey, I can always hope that there is still a "WHAT IF?".
I found these while looking at PhilJess posts. If you have time, read it. They're amazing. I wish they were true. :)

New Seal, New President
Last year, a new university president was elected. It is none other than Dr. Jeter S. Sespeñe. It's not that I've taken interest in him, it's just that I was there when he was installed as the 7th president of the Palawan State University. Anyways, I think he's a good president based on what he's been doing for the school. He's actually the first president who is also an alumni of the school. (I've actually been listening to some of his speeches.) Last March 2, his Installation and Investiture was held at the City Coliseum. I was there because I was part of the PSU Concert Band that was assigned to perform for that event. And so, I got to watch the ceremony.
All the faculty and staff were invited. He even invited his former classmates and those who were already retired. They even got a special mention in his speech.

I have retreated into the core of my being and I now only live as a thought. It seems as though I am not able to comprehend anything anymore. I have been wandering aimlessly in an infinite realm. I have lost track of time which is now of no importance. Matter itself has ceased to exist. I am now a fragment of a memory that has been long forgotten.

“This is my fate. I cannot change it. It is already set in stone.” he declares.
“No! Nobody’s fate is set in stone. Only you can make your own fate based on the decisions you make. Only you control your future.” she forcefully tells him.
“That may be but not for everybody. Mine is already written. This is the path that I have to take.” he said with grief and uncertainty.
Excerpt from A Fragment of A Novel
And yes, I live in a dark and desolate place where, I’m afraid to say, there is no escape. The time for merriment has long gone. Now is the time for anguish and despair. This is a warning. You are within their reach. Go now for when the darkness takes a hold of you, you will never come back.

Woah. I Passed. Thanks LORD!
I just got the news that I passed the ACET (Ateneo College Entrance Test)! Glory to God! When I woke up this morning, I received a text and guess what, it said that I passed! I couldn't believe my eyes. Me? I passed? Well, sure enough, when I looked at the results in the Ateneo website, I really did! I was so ecstatic and, in fact, I still am! The best thing was, I passed my first choice which included a masteral so it is for 5 years. I didn't expect that I would pass Ateneo, let alone that course. So, thank you Lord!!! ALthough, it's too bad because I didn't get a scolarship so I'm definitely not going to Ateneo for college. :( Still, I passed! GLORY TO GOD!!!
Please do forgive me for posting this picture but, I really can't contain myself. :)

This is the last day of the year. I'm thankful for 2011 because I've gotten tons of blessings that I didn't even know I deserved. So, Thank You God. I wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for YOU. Through YOU, I was able to start pursuing my dreams, I now understand a whole lot since 2011 came, and I've received a lot more than I asked for. I am now out of words. Without further ado, I welcome you 2012!

PPUR: A Wonder of Nature
Last night, 11.11.11, at 11:11 PM, the voting for the New 7 Wonders ended. I can say that I VOTED not just because I'm from Puerto but because I think and I know it deserves to be crowned as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
They began counting a year's worth of votes and at about 12:00 midnight Philippine time, the top 14 finalists were announced.
I am happy to say that the Underground River is one of the top 14 finalists. At about 3:00 AM, they finally released the provisional results of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Now, filled with utter joy, I can tell you that the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is truly a wonder of nature mostly because it is part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Even though there is still a chance that by the end of this year, the results might change, I am still confident that PPUR will still be part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
The Underground River is indeed a beautiful place. Carved out by Mother Nature herself, this UNESCO World Heritage site still stands and is still in wonderful shape. With all it can offer and all the glory it can bring, what more can we, Palaweños, ask for? Now that it will surely attract a lot more tourists these coming years, I only hope that we can maintain its natural environment and not destroy it.

Who Are You?
I only have one question for today and its "Who the hell is KIMPOY FELICIANO?!?!?!?" I mean, who is this guy???? Everybody knows him, everybody talks about him at some point, and he thinks he's superman. No offense dude, I mean you no harm. :) He even has livestream. I tried watching it and in fact, the tab is still open that is why i hear "Torete" in the background. What is the point of this livestream anyways?!?!?! Oh, and a lot of people keep tweeting "I love you kimpoy!!". Just so you know, I'm not angry with him. What I really want to know is 'kung bakit siya pinagkakaguluhan'. Even Vince is tweeting about him. Haha. Oh well.
At least I discovered #DoTheButterfly. :) Trending now in Twitter Philippines.

I Detest Sembreak
Since last, last Friday, October 28, I've been in a nothing to do spree. This is because of the semestral break. The entire time, I did nothing and I even thought, for a few days, that I was wasting my time. Now, as it turns out, I realize I did waste my time. Just this hour, I remembered that I still had tons of stuff to do. Was I in a trance the entire break?!?!?! What's worse is that they're all writing assignments. I forgot that I still have to do my reaction for my Project in AP for 3 damn news. Also, I have to write a blasted reaction about Skyxplore which is supposed to have a minimum of 500 words! There's also something I have to do in my Filipino subject. Oh and don't tell anybody but I haven't done any of the articles assigned to me. Busted. And so, I have to finish all of these by tonight. I am going to experience shit tonight. This is what I call Cramming Overload. And to think I still have time to write about it in a blog. Stupid me. Oh well. I really have to get going. So help me God.
P.S. I detest sembreak because I forget my responsibilities not that it's actually the sembreak's fault.

I miss blogging
It's been months since I last posted a blog. Oh blog, you seem like a thing of the past. No worries though, I'm going to go blogging again. Since my last blog, a lot has happened in my life and sadly, I was not able to post them. So, my next posts will be about things that happened weeks ago so I probably won't be able to talk about them with the same zeal I would have had if I posted them when they actually happened. It's a good thing I took pictures. Atleast I'll be able to remember those events. I will find time to blog. That's a promise. :)
I bid you Adieu.

New Room. New Section. New Adviser. New Policy. Same Awesome Classmates.
June 6th was the first day of class. Senior year at last which means 1 more year until graduation. Holy crap. I just realized I'm going to be in college next year. Wow. If ever I pass UP, I'm going to be living independently. Goodbye good life...... :) Anyways, I'm a senior now so it's another year in high school. What's new? I have a new room which was, until recently, IV Sapphire. It's situated at the left when you're walking from the guardhouse. It's the first room there. When you're walking from the other side or from the PAC, it's situated at the right and it's the last room there. You'll definitely notice it because it has windows on 3 sides of the walls. You can visit if you like. You'll surely be welcome there. :) Although I doubt that the guard will let you through the gate. Oh well. :) I also have a new section which is IV KAPATIRAN! They changed the section names so that students will learn to apply the meaning of each of their sections to themselves. Mine means brotherhood.
Go KAPATIRAN!
About the New Adviser. I have a new adviser named Sir Phabe Tabucalde. Many fear him because he's very frank about things and he never tolerates anyone's foolishness. Although, once you get to know him, he isn't half-bad. He's actually funny and I actually understand Physics when he teaches it.
About the New Policy. The New Policy is to have an ID at all times. Well, it's not actually new but it was just implemented this year for reasons I don't know of. I have an ID but it the guard didn't check it last year. This year, they're a little more strict. You'd think that with all these changes my classmates would also change too. Well, you're very wrong about that. The Science Class Pioneers and I have been together for 3 years going on 4. We never tire of each other and we always hang out. Even though there are petty fights within the section sometimes, we still make it a goal so that everyone is in good terms with each other. I think when we graduate, we'll be the most emotional because we would all never forget those years that we stuck together.
If you ask me if I'm bored with all of them, I'm not. I'm lucky because I'm with my same awesome classmates.

The Late Blog with Me, The Bored Being
When I say late, I mean late as in did not happen today but a few day ago or rather, a week ago and I'm just posting it now. :) Here's a catch up of what happened to me last Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 (not that anyone cares :P).
Wednesday: Without A Camera
Happy Birthday Jean! It's your birthday, it's your birthday, it's you're freaking birthday! Hoorah! Seriously, Happy Birthday Jean!!!!!
What happened today was fun! We went to Mitra's Ranch to celebrate Jean's Birthday. Well, of course, I was late even though Jean woke me up at home. Before I went there, I went to school and waited for the others who were coming to the Ranch too. After a while, we went there. (It's pretty dizzy--what I'm writing--isn't it?) It was supposed to be a party of 25 but then the others couldn't come so there were only about 14 (more or less I think) of us there. Even though the only thing we ate were pancit, chips, and tons of ice cream which was melted, it was great. Although, we couldn't treat Jean to a delightful zipline ride because unfortunately, it costs about 500 pesos and we were out of money. If only it was cheap..... Oh well. We still had fun despite these few problems. The day would have been perfect if we had a camera. That was the only REAL PROBLEM we had with this celebration. I mean come on! No pictures?!?! Damn. Only a few photos were taken by those who had cameras which was already low on battery charge that's why we did not have a lot of pictures. We had so many ideas for a video shoot there but there was no stupid camera. What a bummer. Still, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN!!!!
I was supposed to bring jalousies at school today to replace those that we broke and then watch the 4th years' graduation but when I was buying the jalousies, the saleslady told me that it wouldn't be done for another 30 minutes. Oh crap. I was thinking in my head (duh) that if I wait for the jalousies to finish, I might not be able to watch the graduation. So, I took a risk and decided to just go to school and not wait for the jalousies. Of course, I would pick them up from the glass store the next day. And so, my initial purpose of going to school was dismissed. I was just going to watch the graduation so that I could get grad pics. When I got there, I thought it was finished but it turns out that it just started. Stupid decision making. :P
I just watched the graduation and apparently, when it was done, it was already nightfall. Bloody hell. I'm gonna be grounded. So I went home as fast as I could. In the end, I kind of got grounded but they soon forgot about it. Oh yeah! Score one for me! :D
That is all. (bow)
Kidding. (w/ the bow thing)
Ciao!
P.S. I'm not trying to be Italian or anything but I like saying Ciao. :)
Ciao!
